State and National Parks open for camping with gatherings up to 20 people
Stage 3 – 10th July Interstate and intrastate travel will be considered

Now, let’s not forget about our very own outdoor tourist business’s located on our door step. We are currently under one day travel restrictions that are set at a maximum range of 150klm within in our region. I have suggested a variety of one day getaways within a 150klm radius.
DAY TRIPS
1 – I have suggested, you head south via Petrie to explore the beautiful D’Aguilar Range https://bit.ly/2ANZyBf that offer plenty of stunning views, Dayboro, Mount Mee, Dahmongah Lookout, continue on then turn right onto the D’Aguilar Hwy, Wamuran, then Bribie . Our first stop, Dayboro which offers some great antique shops, art gallery, old pub, cafes and an amazing bakery then onto Mount Mee https://bit.ly/2AL3Adv with another café, laden with retro memorabilia and locally grown roasted coffee. Next stop, don’t miss Dahmongah Lookout Park then back on to the D’Aguilar Hwy then back to Bribie via Wamuran. 130klm round trip. https://dayboro.com/
2 – Next, we take a Scenic Drive into the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, via the Glass House Mountains, Beerwah, Landsborough, then up to the Blackall Mountain Ranges to Maleny, Montville, Mapelton, Nambour then Bribie. Maleny, Montville and Mapleton boast glorious views of the Sunshine Coast & Hinterland while providing visitors with a unique shopping and dining experience while witnessing the unique history and architecture of the buildings which run along the main street and extends along the range. The area offer, nature lovers, beautiful parks & gardens, walking trails, rainforests and waterfalls with a couple of winery’s thrown in. 3 – This time we kick off from Maleny, https://bit.ly/3cPSWAf then make our way on to Kenilworth, Eumundi, Cooroy, return to Bribie. Maleny can offer some great places to visit like scenic rainforest walks, waterfalls to the quirky Devonshire Tea and antique shops. Maleny is also the home of Maleny Dairy Farms where you can visit a real farm shop and taste real milk and cream fresh from the cow and not in a cardboard carton. Maleny also offer winery tours and they have their own Craft Beer Brewery. Maleny offers a great, get back in history feel to it. If you can pull yourself away from Maleny it’s a short drive to Kenilworth where you will find a beautiful and unique little township bursting with home grown products where you will meet the friendly locals with a 1930’s atmosphere. Kenilworth boasts a very engaging historical museum and a great range of shops, a bakery, art gallery, antique shops, great pub and to top it off they have there own cheese, yoghurt and ice-cream factory. Don’t forget to checkout the annual events that Kenilworth host each year. Our next destination is the Eumundi Markets which could be closed due to the Covid-19 restrictions. You would have to check if they have re-opened. If they have resumed operations then we are off to Eumundi, home of the famous Eumundi Markets, these are not to be missed. They are normally run, 7am on a Saturday morning and 8am on a Wednesday morning, you may want to take this trip in reverse if you don’t want to miss the Eumundi Markets. Eumundi also have a number of great craft shops and pubs with great entertainment when the markets are on. Now, if you can fit the time in, Cooroy is our next destination that offer a nice modern pub with great meals and a number of craft shops and second hand shops that are a must to visit, you will never know what you may find, then back to Bribie. 150klm round trip. After restrictions have been lifted you can continue onto Tewantin and then Noosa which offer great eating and shopping experience. You could make Noosa a one day trip because of the large amount of shops and eating outlets that are available. 4 – Another one day get away where you could take a Sunshine Coast Craft Beer Tour – https://sunshinecoastcraftbeertours.com.au/ Pick up & drop off, either from Maroochydore or Mooloolaba and make a day of it. Fully guided tour in their modern air-conditioned coach.
After Stage 2 begins you can then travel up to 250klm. This is when you are able to camp out overnight.

If you wanted a National Park experience, I suggest Charlie Moreland Camp Ground beside the Little Yabba Creek where you can do as much or as little as you like. Located in the Imbil State Forest. Another great Caravan Park if you just wanted some piece and quiet with a country atmosphere you cannot go past Imbil Camping Retreat located on the Yabba Creek. Offers 12 acres of shaded parklands ranging from secluded areas to open spaces. https://www.imbilcampingretreat.com.au/
